It was my first experience of the mountain bike. We went to Carnarvon Lake which is ahead of 10 km mountain bike and a short distance hike + scramble. It's a pretty beautiful lake, but it's hard to get there.

The flat road in the beginning. It would be easy if this way all along.

There is a river soon after starting mountain biking. We needed to carry the bikes. Sandals are must-have items.

After crossing the river, there are ups and downs but there are not much big stones.。

It's a course that horses pass through, so we can see feces everywhere. This gives me pressure that I can not slip.

Switch to walk. We put the bicycles in the bushes on the way.

Start walking.

There is a Carnarvon lake over the scree slope. We lost the regular route (blue line) and climbing the scree slope (red line). We exhausted at the scree slope where we walked 3 steps and slid two steps.

We finally got the regular route!

We climbed such scree slope. It was quite hard for the body who ran out of physical strength by mountain biking...

Scramble along the waterfall. There were chains, but the sueface was quite slippery and not easy at all.

Arrived at Carnarvon lake! A very beautiful blue lake.

The sky on the way back looked ominous due to the mountain fires in BC.
